A little of Salt Lake

Mini Trip to Salt Lake City, Utah

I had the opportunity to go to Salt Lake City for work for a couple of days. My flight was so short  so that was awesome! Plus this mama had a small break and got to sleep on the airplane :). It was a short 1 hr and 20 min flight. As we were approaching our destination, I turned to the window and saw the most breathtaking mountain views covered in snow!! I had to quickly get my camera and snap some pictures.

Then a little bit went by and the lady next to me pointed out at more mountains covered in snow but were closer and full with snow!!

When I arrived to my hotel, I arrived a little early and it wasn't check in time, so I decided to walk to downtown. As a Californian, If the weather is below 70, its chilly lol. It was like 58 and windy. It took me about 20 minutes to walk to down town. I snapped a few pictures before walking to City Creek Center.

All the leaves from the trees have fallen but I can just imagine how much more beautiful the city looks in fall and spring. I loved that there was mountain views all around the city. So I finally arrived at City Creek Center. It is a beautiful outdoor/ Indoor mall with over 100 restaurants and stores. its on either side of the street. They have a glass bridge that connects and you can just walk across to get to the other side.

So let me tell you something funny that happened to me. I put the walking person in the maps so I would be able to get back to the hotel and I thought I was following the directions good but apparently I wasn't. I'm never using the walking mode again! lol. I ended up in the same spot 3 times!! haha..... I finally just didn't loo at the directions. After walking forever ( in rain boots) I was exhausted got to the hotel. I never take naps and I actually got to nap , woke up, realized that my favorite show was starting in a hour ( The Bachelor), So I rushed downstairs and ordered a side of fries that I ate while I was in bed. Oh my goodness that was the best ever!!

I woke up early the next day , went to visit home office from another company that I work for ;). I didn't get to bring my camera but did take some pictures from my phone from some people at home office :) . They even have a slide in their office!! How cool is that?! and yes I got to check it off my list ;).

Then I tried to find directions with the walking person again to a restaurant and that failed aggaaainnn! lol... So I just stopped walking, took a Uber and went to work.

When I came back to the hotel from work, I was starving and went straight to the restaurant they have there. Igot a burger that someone from the hotel had told me about. When I finally got my burger , It looked good and tasted even better. I cleaned my plate. I snapped a quick picture with my phone before devouring it.

Then I went up to my room and was ready to go to bed!. Then I woke up super early to take a early flight back to orange county :) I had my camera so I snapped a couple pictures of the hotel because I fell in love with the style of it. I really liked this hotel.

As I waited to take my flight, I was in love again by the snowy mountains outside the window.

I'm so glad I got to visit Salt Lake City. Next time, I had to do more exploring. I hope you enjoyed the glimpse of my mini trip! :)

Jazelle's First Dance Class

Jazelle's First Dance Class

Today was Jazelle's first dance class. Not a mommy fail this time lol. I was excited and nervous like if I was going to be the MY first day of class. We got there and 3 other little girls were there. With Jazelle's sassy personality, I wouldn't of thought of her being shy but she was . As the little girls were playing before class started, she stood just observing.

I asked if I can take pictures and she said yes. I don't think she knew what was to come. I was the crazy mom that took pictures through out the whole class lol. It was such a cute class. So many different props they used, fun songs to help them out with ballet movements. Of course Jazelle twirls around in her tip-e toes at home and wasn't participating at first. It was normal of her to feel shy though. First they streched.

i   Then they danced a bunny song and hopped and incorporating other movements. Then Jazelle got warmed up and held a little girl's hand and hopped with her <3

Then they each grabbed colorful cloths and had fun throwing them up in the air and also doing movements with them :).

Next they got some long colorful loofas and did some fun movements with those.

They then got into a circle and held hands. It was the cutest ever! Then the teacher joined them and taught them how to point their toes. She was so sweet and professional through out the whole class.

They worked on their brush kicks and she helped Jazelle learn how to point her toes.

They the teacher grabbed hoops and layed them on the floor so they can hop on them with one or two feet.

When they were done, she grabbed another little girls hand to twirl around. They had matching tutu's <3

Then they each got butterfly wings and a wand and danced around the whole floor

Next we put on their tap shoes and I had to sit next to Jazelle cuz she was getting unfocused lol. They did some warm up taps.

It seemed like all the girls had the "tapping" down lol. A lot of tapping noises. Jazelle ran around most of the time wanting to do her own thing.

The teacher and I had to tell her to go stand on her blue spot a number of times lol.

Then they grabbed some sticks and danced to a cute sons using the sticks

Then they grabbed another colorful prop. Used it to march with it and do other dance movements. Jazelle mostly cleaned the floor with it lol.

Last they changed into their regular shoes and grabbed another prop which Jazelle twirled it around. It was super cute. You can tell she was tired.

I totally forgot tomorrow is Valentine's Day and some of the little girls gave each Valentine treats and were so sweet and gave Jazelle some.

Overall I loved this class. Jazelle didn't cry or throw a tantrum which is a win! haha... Now I have to decide if I Jazelle loved it enough to keep on taking the classes. I think I am going to register monthly. This was a memorable day for me. I loved having dance class every day from Jr. High till I graduated High School and miss it very much. Hope you enjoyed reading about Jazelle's first dance class. :<3
