Trip to SeaBirds Kitchen Vegan Restaurant
I was so excited to try a Vegan restaurant. I'm not vegan but I do want to stop eating meat. So this was a trip I was eager for. Plus I need girl talk ;) . I went with two good friends who are vegeterians. We went to Sea Birds Kitchen. It's located in a "cool little hipster/artsy (anti-) mall with small local shops and eateries" called "The Lab" Everywhere is a form of art . I loved it!!!! . There was so many art pieces to shoot but didn't get to them all. While we waited for our table to be ready, we went to check "The Lab" out. Took some pictures :)
Our table was ready so off we went to get seated .
I loved how it looked inside and outside. We chose outside seating. Did I mention the weather is gorgeous?! Perfect to eat outside. Cool lights hanging across the top and cute wooden tables with umbrellas.
We browsed through the menu and couldn't decide what to get. So many options that sounded so good and healthy :). We each got something different and delicious!!
Before we got our food we got some drinks. We got a passion fruit Kombucha Mosa and a grapefruit Kombucha Mosa . It was "fresh from the tap Cha Cha kombucha combined with sparkling prosecco. Then my other friend got a Birdy Mary. It was a bloody mix garnished with green olives, pepperoncini fried pickle, wild rosemary, lime and celery salt rim.
We then got our amazing meals!!! I got Holy Smokes Bowl. It had brown rice, bbq jackfruit, black kale, brocccolini, pickled red onion, coconut bacon, Seabirds sauce, and bbq sauce. looked amazing and was yummy!!! I was so interested in the coconut bacon.
My friend got Butternut Enchiladas. Had butternut squash, black bean and maitake mushroom enchiladas, roasted pasilla pepper sauce, almond feta, Seabirds sauce, and cilantro, served with arugula salad topped with blackberries. I had a bite and it was also so yummy!!
My other friend had the Chipotle Florentine. It was polenta cakes topped with organic spinach, heirloom tomato, egg tofu rounds, smokey chipotle hollandaise and green onion served with arugula salad . Also delicious! Overall I had a great experience! loved the location, the wooden tables, the food presentation and how it tasted. I want to try the whole menu now!!!
As we left, I was in love with a wall full of plants. I had to snap a pic ;)
Thanks for reading my post about my first Vegan restaurant experience !!! <3
